Forests Ontario’s Annual Holiday Tree Sale is back!

So do we! Forests Ontario is thrilled to offer our annual holiday tree and wreath sale this December.

Why buy the real deal?

Opting for a real tree during the holiday season is the environmentally sound choice. Real trees are 100% biodegradable – producing no landfill waste at the end of the season. In fact, they can be used as wildlife habitat or turned into mulch for public parks.

Real, locally-sourced trees have a smaller environmental footprint than plastic trees, which are often manufactured elsewhere and are shipped to Canada. Over 500 Ontario tree farmers provide 1 million holiday trees each year, so the purchase of a real tree goes back into the local economy. While growing on the farm, real trees sequester carbon and are replaced by newly planted trees when they are harvested. Once acre of real holiday trees provides enough oxygen for 18 people daily!

Finally, there’s nothing like the fresh aroma of a real tree in your home to signal the holidays.

How to purchase your own tree or wreath

The global pandemic has had us all adapting to new ways of engaging with one another. The safety of our community and staff is of utmost importance – and that is why we are excited to offer contact-free holiday tree sales.

Step 1:

Pre-purchase your holiday tree and wreath through our Shop.

Select your desired tree and/or wreath and complete your purchase through our secure Shop checkout.

Step 2:

Check your email inbox (junk folder too)! You should receive email confirmation of your order and another email in 1-2 business days with more details regarding pick-up information.

Step 3:

Prepare for pick-up! Drop by our cabin just north of the Distillery District during your pick-up window December 4-6th, 2020.

All proceeds from sales will go towards Forests Ontario programs.
